This just in from Simon van Kempen in response to Gatecrasher’s report that he and wife Alex McCord were off Real Housewives of NYC:
This rumor started in the Gatecrasher column in the New York Daily News alleging that we had been dropped from the 4th season of the Real Housewives.
This was & is completely false. To begin with Bravo will not make any decisions on commissioning a fourth season until after they see the ratings of our third. This Gatecrasher story was planted by someone who has an agenda against us. Bravo PR who have a habit of not commenting on gossip tweeted at Noon on Feb 4th that “To clear this up… The full cast of “The Real Housewives of NYC” IS back for season 3. Let’s watch season 3 before we worry about season 4!”
And Andy Cohen went on LXTV that night and also confirmed that Alex & I were indeed back for Season 3 & that no discussions had taken place for Season 4.
Also the LA based Jen O’Connell Producer of the show wrote on Alex’s Facebook wall that:
“I keep getting google alerts that you were fired off the show–i wish someone would have told me before we put in all your juicy scenes wait until you see season 3. drama city.”
Also if you look at BravoTV.com the 3rd Season bio’s are up. Here’s the link to Alex’s.
In addition on NBC’s media information website you’ll can see hundreds of still photos of the 3rd season drama – many of which contain Alex.
All in all [the] report this morning is false. We aren’t off the show nor was there ever any financial dispute.
This show’s a guilty pleasure – and it wouldn’t be the same without this couple. Good thing this is Year 4 we’re talking about, so this season upcoming will be untouched. Not only are ‘they’ our very own, hometown ‘real housewife’…across ALL of these similar shows…but sadly, they’re the only non-Manhattan, non-Upper Eastside couple on the Show.
