Fire at The Peking 2
From CHB tipster “Anders” comes this report of a fire Saturday night on Court Street:
It was a fire last night at The Peking 2 restaurant at Court Street, by the end of Butler. Lots of smoke, lots of fire trucks, lots of commotion. Old ladies in the building got evacuated in their robes out on the street. The guest at Watty & Meg eventually had to move inside because of the smoke and smell.
Poeks caught this image of the FDNY’s Ladder 131/Engine 279 wrapping up:

Suerte - yes you’re correct, tipster must have confused.
“Sosie” - sometimes on the “internet” we “quote” the words of “others”. Don’t hate the playa or in this case the “blogger”.

This is the most ridiculous thread of comments ever. Who cares what the guy said about old ladies? No one died. Lighten up Sosie, seriously.

Isn’t that the same sosie from waty & meg two doors down from peking 2? are you really concerned about the “old ladies” of the community, or just the possible damage to surrounding buildings and the “infrastructure”? hmmmm

I find it rude that you call residents of this neighborhood, especially those tramatized,.”old ladies”. This could have been a fatal and tragic event. Did you think of the damage to the restaurants, the buildings and the stress that it causes the infrastructure.?
