Quality of Life Patrol Comes to Cobble Hill

Warning! Don’t be drinkin’ in the hard streets of Cobble Hill or you’ll get a summons! This just in from a local tipster:

Walking to dinner last night, I was stopped by the lovely folks of the 76th precinct to inquire what I was drinking in my red solo cup. Of course it was whiskey, and of course I was issued a ticket for open container. The three officers were nice guys (they even let me finish my drink) – and informed me that the precinct is cracking down on quality of life offenses, including drinking, spitting, urination, bikes on sidewalks, hanging out in the park after dark, and having your dog off a leash. While I was bummed that I received a ticket, it made me realize what a safe neighborhood we live in – when 3 officers highest priority is busting public drinking.

why tell the cops the truth?.. why walk around with a red cup (might as well be an open bottle of booze- too obvious!)..obviously someone’s not too experienced in drinking in public..

If they don’t stop the little things then you have low lifes hanging out drinking and peeing right? next thing you know they are commiting robberies and then Murder. this is how they combat crime. If you don’t think this is a good way try moving to florida or some other state. see how they do it there.
