The Brooklyn Eagle profiles Cobble Hillbilly/artist Diana Horowitz, known for her landscapes of industrial Brooklyn, in today’s edition:
Brooklyn Eagle: Diana Horowitz…: “It’s not what people expect from the Gowanus Canal,†said Shelley Farmer, director of Hirschl and Adler Modern, the Manhattan Gallery showing 30 of Horowitz’s paintings through March 22. On the other hand, she says, “Most people who come into this show haven’t even been to Gowanus or Red Hook.â€
Horowitz, 49, has lived in Cobble Hill since 1991, and she has been to Gowanus and Red Hook many, many times.
