Looks like there are some issues with the sewage system on Warren Street at the corner of Court. The street is dug WAY down… hopefully rats don’t take over the neighborhood tonight. Anyone know what’s going on?
Check out just how deep it is after the jump.

I saw the equipment last night on my way back home. I just assumed they were shoring up that annoying sinkhole that they’ve been patching for the past couple of years but would always be coming back. Thus, concluding it was a drainage issue. But they sure have a lot of pipes and various size beams up and down Bergen St.
If you go to the DOB website, or contact the DOTransportation, they’ll tell you the reason. Or just ask the workers.
So the sewer needs repair. What’s the mystery? Contempt and Anon are right – the sinkhole kept returning (and obviously there needed to be a big repair) and all you need to do is ask the workers. As for its depth, there once was a tunnel under Warren Street many years ago…
