Outgoing CHA Prexy Speaks
Outgoing CHA President Murray Adams discusses many things with the Brookly Eagle today including the Cobble Hill trench:
Brooklyn Eagle: Q. As a longtime resident and community leader what is your view on “the trench or the ditch� Should it be covered over?
A. The Cobble Hill Association has been very involved with the “Fix the Ditch†movement and I was pleased that Nydia [Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez] was able to secure $1 million funding for further studies. However, I am not sure anyone is using the funds. The Mayor’s recent PlaNYC called for covering it over and putting a lot more housing there. Maybe that much high-rise housing would be too dense. Anyway, you should speak with Frank Manzione who has some good solutions as well.
